tagall.py Documentation#

The tagall.py file is responsible for implementing the tag_all function, which is used to tag all members in a WhatsApp group using the provided group name.

tag_all function#

Description#

The tag_all function tags all members in a WhatsApp group using the provided driver and group_name.

Syntax#

`python def tag_all(driver, group_name): `

Parameters#

  • driver (WebDriver): The WebDriver instance used to interact with the WhatsApp Web interface.

  • group_name (str): The name of the WhatsApp group to tag all members.

Usage Example#

`python # Assuming 'driver' is a valid WebDriver instance tag_all(driver, "GroupName") `

The above example will tag all members in the WhatsApp group named “GroupName”.

Steps#

The tag_all function performs the following steps:

  1. Wait for the contact search box to load.

  2. Search for the WhatsApp group specified by group_name in the search box.

  3. Click on the WhatsApp group from the search results.

  4. Wait for the chat to load.

  5. Find the message input box.

  6. Extract the member names from the chat.

  7. Mention each member by sending a message with their username using the @ symbol.

  8. Send the message to tag all members.

  9. Wait for the message to be sent successfully.

Return Value#

The tag_all function does not return any value.

Note: The original implementation of the delete_message function is not included in the provided code.
